(KNOX) – Another project this coming construction season will be on South Washington Street in Grand Forks.
Joel Holweger of the City of Grand Forks Engineering Department says work will be done on Washington Street from Hammerling Avenue to Demers Avenue.
“This will be a thin preventive wear course over what is already there. These types of work operations are usually pretty quick, so we should see minimal traffic impacts. It shouldn’t take too long. This will also include new striping as well,” says Holweger.
The current asphalt overlay will be seven years old at the time of this proposed project.
The project will be done in addition to the unfinished work that will be going on in the area of the railroad over pass on Washington Street
