(KNOX) – Grand Forks City Council approved the letter of intent for a proposed casino resort that is slated to be built by the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa.
Grand Forks City Administrator Todd Feland said that the letter is non-binding and does not obligate the city to do anything.
The approval of the letter by the City of Grand Forks is the first step.
It could be years before the actual casino resort is actually built.
