Greenwave Hockey Faces Warroad Tonight

(KNOX) – East Grand Forks Greenwave hockey hosts Warroad in a tilt of top teams in Section 8A.

The Greenwave are currently ranked eighth in the MNHockeyHub Class “A” poll, with Warroad ranked fourth.

East Grand Forks is 8-6-1 overall after a 4-3 win over Roseau in their most recent game.  They avenged an earlier loss in the section with a 1-0 win over Detroit Lakes, and have won six of their last seven games.

Warroad is 10-4-1, having a six game win streak snapped in their last game by Hermantown 4-1.

Tucker Lovejoy and Hunter Varnson co-lead the Greenwave in scoring with 16 points each.  Lovejoy has 11 goals, Varnson has five.  Taven James leads the Warriors with 13 goals and 34 points.

Tonight’s game will faceoff at 7:30 PM, pregame coverage begins at 7:00 PM tonight on KNOX Radio and KNOX Live Sports.
