(KNOX) – The Grand Forks Planning and Zoning Commission has approved changes to lots on South 42nd Street.
Grand Forks City Planner Sierra Johnson says the changes will not create traffic problems in the area.
“We did have internal conversations. Talking with the city traffic engineering team, it was found it is feasible and will not cause significant traffic issues, “ Johnson says.
A reconfiguration of six existing lots will create Danks Fourth Subdivision, consisting of five lots.
The proposed layout will enable the development of the Altru Sports Complex as well as the future Children’s Museum.
The necessary easements are re-established on this tract of land.
“The change is that the access control along 17th Avenue South was shortened to 180 feet. That change was made to enable a right-in access to the future Children’s Museum lot,” Johnson told the Grand Forks Planning and Zoning Commission this week.
The changes go the Grand Forks City Council for approval.
