(KNOX) – Friday night at approximately 10:50 the Grand Forks Police Department was dispatched to a weapons violation in the area of the Ramada, 1250 N 43rd St.
Initial investigation of the incident revealed that a firearm was discharged in the parking lot of the Ramada.
Two victims were transported to Altru by private vehicle with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. Two subjects, attempting to flee the area, were detained near the scene.
Further investigation led to one being placed under arrest for attempted murder.
Due to the nature of the on-going investigation, there is potential for additional criminal charges.
Investigation of the incident is ongoing but these groups of subjects were known to each other and there is no known threat to the public.
