(Samantha Willils -North Dakota Monitor) – North Dakota is among states asking the Supreme Court to uphold the “divest or ban law” against Tik Tok.
The law means Tik Tok must either sever its ties to China or be subject to a ban on the app.
TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance, sued the U.S. government over the law, saying it impeded their First Amendment rights, but a federal appeals court recently upheld the law.
The high court will hear oral arguments in the appeal case January 10.
