Most Grand Forks City Offices Closed for Christmas

(KNOX) – Most city offices will be closed Wednesday, December 25, for Christmas. 

Regular City business will not be conducted.  However, emergency police, fire and communications services will continue to operate as scheduled.

City services such as garbage collection will not take place on Wednesday, December 25th.  Regular Wednesday pickup for the “A” route will take place on Monday, December 23rd, and Wednesday’s “B” route pickup will be on Tuesday, December 24th, along with regularly scheduled routes.

Recycling will not be picked up on Wednesday.  Recycling will be pushed back one day for the rest of the week.  Wednesday’s recycling will be picked up on Thursday.  Thursday’s recycling will be picked up on Friday and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday.

The Cities Area Transit (CAT), including City Bus, Night Bus, Senior Rider Bus and Dial-A-Ride will stop operations at 4 pm on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.  CAT will resume its regular schedule on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

City offices will re-open for business on Thursday, December 26th.
