(KNOX) – As anticipated, the East Grand Forks City Council unanimously moved to approve the 2025 budget and authorized financed director Karla Anderson to post the adjusted budget to the city website.
The total general fund for 2025 is more than $14 million.
The council later moved KC Pro West Youth Snowmobile Races from LaFave Park to an area north of East Grand Forks along 8th Avenue Northwest and 30th Street Northwest, where city crews will be dumping snow.
KC Pro West requested standing approval for the racing season, which could begin January 10-11.

During his final East Grand Forks City Council meeting, Alderman Clarence Vetter was given a plaque in appreciation for his 12-year term on the council. The retiring Vetter also served from 2004 to 2008 on the council.

Outgoing Mayor Steve Gander will receive a plaque when the council reconvenes on January 7.
