Grand Forks Park Board reviews 2024

(KNOX) – At its final monthly meeting for 2024, George Hellyer, executive director of the Grand Forks Park Board, said discussions with city officials netted an agreement regarding the proposed Altru Sports Complex. The two side agreed to a 10-year pact with an opt-out after one year.
The more significant update regards Riverside Pool, over which the city has control, while the Park Board maintains. 2024 saw an increase in swimmers and concessions. The bottom line is that the city owes the park board $27,082.84.
The board moved to set the base bid for parking lot additions and maintenance. The engineer’s estimate is $1,837,275- as well as three alternates totaling $730,000.
New construction items include 38 parking stalls at Palmiscno and Crary Park plus repairs at Hole No. 1 at Lincoln Park.
