Grand Forks Committee of the Whole Approves Liquor License

(KNOX) – An on and off-sale beer and wine alcoholic beverage license was approved by the Grand Forks Committee of the Whole.

“We received an application from Board Room. They’re looking at taking over the Archives location on the UND campus. Archives has previously held a Class 3 Beer and Wine License,” Grand Forks City Clerk Sherie Lundmark told the committee.

Good Works, LLC, dba Archives Coffee House has held a Class 3 license at 3012 University Avenue since 2021 and has sold their business to Board Room Coffee & Taphouse, LLC.

Lundmark says final approval is subject to review by various city departments and payment of associated fees

Board Room Coffee & Taphouse, LLC has submitted an application for a Class 3 Alcoholic Beverage License and has paid the application fee, issuance fee of $5,320 and annual fee of $1,670 apply to this license class.

The business plans to begin operations in January 2025.

Granting of a new alcoholic beverage license requires review and approval of various city departments, including, fire, police, health, building safety, finance and the city attorney.

Grand Forks City Council approval is required for issuance of a new alcoholic beverage license.
