(KNOX) – The Northlands Rescue Mission in Grand Forks will offer holiday dinners next week on Thanksgiving Day.

“We want to ensure that seniors, homebound people, people who can’t afford it, all have a Thanksgiving dinner,” said Sue Shirek, Executive Director of the mission.

The mission will deliver Thanksgiving Day meals to anyone in need. To reserve a meal, call (701) 772-6600 ext. 214. Leave your full name, address (Grand Forks/EGF only) phone number, and the number of meals you need.

Meals will be delivered between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on November 28. Meals may also be picked up at the Mission, Door #1 at 420 Division Ave, Grand Forks, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

“We will be serving Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day from the mission. We are planning on serving 1,500 meals that day,” Shirek said.

The Northlands Rescue Mission is an emergency shelter empowering people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or food insecurity to live more stable lives.
