(KNOX) – State races in North Dakota swayed to the Republican side.
Donald Trump was elected President of the United States.
U.S. Senator Kevin Cramers will return to Capitol Hill as will Julie Fedorchak to the U.S. House.
The ticked of Kelly Armstrong and Michelle Strinden will be governor and lieutenant governor in Bismarck.
Josh Gallion was reelected State Auditor.
Randy Christmann returns to the Public Service Commission.
Kirsten Baesler returns as Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Regarding Constitutional measures, North Dakota voters rejected Measure No. 2, which would have required two public votes to pass amendments.
They overwhelmingly voted “no” on Measure No. 4 efforts to prohibit all subdivisions from levying property tax.
Measure No. 5, the vote to allow recreational marijuana, teetered for awhile, but the “no” vote pulled away by early morning.
