(KNOX) -During a court appearance Tuesday the person charged in a Grand Forks murder told the judge that he is the victim.
Court records indicate that Donald Bartlette, 45, of Grand Forks says he acted in self-defense.
Bartlette is charged with the death of Anthony Kiehl, 49, at an apartment on Cherry Street in Grand Forks last Thursday night.
Bail has been set at $1 million for Bartlette.
Another man, 35 year-old Nicholas Wride-Arnold has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. He is being held, his bail has been set at $750,000.
