(KNOX) -Tours will be taken to get an idea of what other sports facilities look like to make the proposed one in Grand Forks a better complex. Grand Forks City Administrator Todd Feland says that he and others will be taking a look at what they have to offer.
“There are two NDSU facilities, both are turf, and their track. Their new indoor turf, so we’re going to see two different steel structures that I think are going to be informative,” Feland said.
A facility of the West Fargo School District will be toured.
“We’re going to go to the West Fargo Schools’ Aquatic Complex. That’s an aquatic complex that we’re trying to emulate with our facility , so we will be able to see that,” Feland said.
The tour of the facilities is scheduled for Friday, November 1.
“Then we’re going to go to the Fargo Park District Sports Center. Their sports center generally is turf , it’s ice, it’s pickle ball, and then it has wood courts for basketball and volleyball,” Feland said.
After touring the facilities, Feland will make a presentation to Grand Forks City Council at their regular meeting Monday, November 4.
