Airline Pleased With Grand Forks International Airport

(KNOX) -Grand Forks City Council heard from the consultant they hired to get more flights to and from Grand Forks International Airport (GFK).

Zoe Lindemuth of Meehan Aviation Group says Allegiant Airlines is one of two carriers who service Grand Forks International.

“We went to Allegiant at the beginning of October, and we met with their network planning department. They had very good things to say about Grand Forks, which is always nice to hear because they’re an important leisure carrier,” Lindemuth told council.

Lindemuth says that Allegiant Airlines is pleased with GFK.

“They believe in the market, and that it’s really doing well. For Sanford they are going from one weekly departure to two-week departures. That’s all really good news for Grand Forks,” Lindemuth said.

Allegiant Airlines has flights from Grand Forks to Orlando-Sanford, Florida, Las Vegas and Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona.

Delta Airlines is the other carrier at GFK. Delta has flights to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Lindemuth says that Delta is considering adding another daily flight from GFK.
