(KNOX) -Grand Forks City Administrator Todd Feland says that at the start of 2025, the Grand Forks City Council will have to make some determinations about the Altru Indoor Sports Complex and Aquatics Center.

“We are going to plan on two updates on November 4 and 18 at city council. Those will be really setting the timeline moving forward, so there be will decisions that will have to be made after the New Year,” Feland told Grand Forks City Council this week.

Feland said that those choices that will be before city council to decide would be in the form of preparation and development.

“A lot of those will be planning-and-zoning type decisions that I think we will be able to work through. We are working the Children’s Museum that will play into the planning and zoning and some of the offsite infrastructure that we have been working with them. That has been going positively and constructively,” said Feland.

Feland said that they are working on bids.

“We’re contemplating two bid packages. We’d have an early out bid package on the site work, the infrastructure, the outside structure of the buildings, and then we’d have a second later bid package,” Feland said.
