(KNOX) – The Grand Forks School District will assess 130.68 mills during Fiscal Year 2024/2025. That’s a reduction of one tax levy mill from last year.
The reduction came in special assessment mills, down from two to one.
The board, on eight positive votes, moved to accept the 2024/2025 budget. New board member Jay Kleven complemented the District’s finance committee for “holding the line.”
On a motion of board member Bill Palmiscno, the board also moved to accept the low bid of $1,548,022 for safety and security offices at Red River High School.
McKayla Sigini accepted and signed the board oath as a student board member.
