(KNOX) – East Grand Forks City Council unanimously approved three “new business” items Tuesday night.
First was a contract for a school resource officer for Independent School District 595. The approved contract lasts through May 2027.
Second was a special event/facility use agreement for Hot Valley Nights concerts to be held in the city parking lot from the 14th through the 18th. Fireworks are scheduled for Saturday night the 17th.
Third was to declare abandoned bicycles as surplus property. Ten of the bicycles will go to East Grand Forks Cross Country… and the remainder will be sold at an upcoming police auction.
This weekend is Heritage Days in East Grand Forks, with the hot-dish contest Saturday and the tractor pull Sunday. Law enforcement will hold their annual 5K Saturday morning on the Grand Forks side of the Red River.
