Joe Mauer to be inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday

(KNOX) – Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer will be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday.
Mauer played 15 seasons with the Twins. He was drafted with the first overall pick in 2001 out of Cretin Derham Hall High School in St. Paul.
Mauer was the first catcher in Major League Baseball history to win three batting titles.
He went to the All-Star game six times and won the American League Most Valuable Player in 2009.
He’s the fourth St. Paul native to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, after Dave Winfield, Paul Molitor and Jack Morris.
