(KNOX) – Ideal Aerosmith of Grand Forks has been awarded a $14.5 million contract from the U.S. Navy for the development of unmanned aerial systems technology.
Under the contract, Ideal Aerosmith will develop the hardware and software needed to allow UAS to fly life-like mission simulations without leaving the lab. This results in improved vehicle designs and control systems, while supporting more effective mission planning and execution for military operations.
The project is expected to be complete by January 2027.
