(KNOX) – The Grand Forks School Board opened fiscal year 2024-25 by electing Dave Berger as the new board president and Josh Anderson as vice president.
The board appointed Stacy Skarperud as principal of Ben Franklin Elementary School.
The board also accepted the pending resignation of member Monte Gaulkler. The board moved to solicit applications for her replacement. Applications are due by 4 p.m. August 19.
The board will take its first look at the 2024-25 preliminary budget on July 22.
