(KNOX) – The North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (ND DOCR) is announcing a new interactive dashboard available to the public for information related to parole releases and sentences.
The Parole Release Dashboard allows users to view the sentence breakdown of those who have been granted parole by the North Dakota Parole Board. Those visiting the dashboard may select different filters to narrow down the information they are searching for, including gender and release date, as well as crime category. Graphs are interactive; clicking each segment will provide up-to-date information following the parameters set forth by the user. A tutorial video is available at the bottom of the page.
“By providing an innovative approach to transparency and public safety, the dashboard supports our values and models teamwork both internally and externally,” said ND DOCR Director Colby Braun. “The dashboard provides information regarding how sentences are served in North Dakota by those receiving the opportunity for parole and reentry into our communities. Individuals released on parole typically have proven themselves to be motivated to complete required programming and demonstrated pro-social behaviors in the facilities.”
The dashboard can be found by visiting http://www.docr.nd.gov/parole-release-dashboard.
