(AP) – The body of a second canoeist missing in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area… has been recovered.
Crews pulled the body of 40-year-old Reese Grams of Lino Lakes from the same area he was last seen on May 19… just west of Curtain Falls off of a 30-foot drop into Iron Lake.
The body of 41-year-old Jesse Haugen was recovered Friday.
The two men were part of a group of five in two canoes. According to initial reports from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, two canoes went over the falls. Two of the men were later rescued, and a third was found at a nearby campsite.
A GoFundMe page has been started for the families of Grams and Haugen.
