(AP) – Runnings, a retailer based in Marshall, Minnesota, has announced an agreement to purchase Grand Forks-based Home of Economy and its eight family-owned stores in North Dakota.
The acquisition will expand Runnings to 90 locations in 12 states from New York to Montana.
The deal is scheduled to close in September.
Stores will continue under the Home of Economy name before transitioning to the Runnings brand.
