(KNOX) – A flood warning for the Red River of the North at Oslo goes into effect Wednesday evening and will last until further notice.
Minor flooding is expected in Marshall, Walsh, Polk and Grand Forks counties once the Red rises above flood stage of 26 feet.
The river is expected to crest at 28.5 feet early Sunday morning.
The Grand Forks and Polk County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents that with the amount of rain that’s fallen, accesses and the lower trails along the river may be impacted…so be careful.
Grand Forks County Sheriff Andy Schneider says access points may close… but the forecast levels should not keep catfish anglers off the water.
