(KNOX) – About 300 people gathered at the Northern Valley Peace Officers Memorial this afternoon in Grand Forks Optimist Park.
A chorus of bagpipes opened the ceremony.,
Today was a day for law enforcement and the public to honor and remember officers who have paid the ultimate price protecting their counties and their communities.
Guests included the U.S. Air Force and officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
