Mayville State University views designs for Old Main renovation

(KNOX) – The Mayville State University community viewed initial designs Wednesday evening of an open air renovation of Old Main, the centerpiece of the MSU campus.
Foss Architects and Interiors plans new stairs on the west and east ends of the building with an elevator to give access to the disabled… a new entrance on the north side… moving Old Main auditorium to the lower level…lounges and classrooms on the second and third floors… conference rooms on the fourth floor… and a fifth-floor tower on the north side.
These designs are not final. Construction begins in the fall.
Most of Mayville State University’s summer classes are taught online.
University officials say plans have been made to distribute faculty and students around the campus during two years of Old Main construction.
