UND students to pay more for meals

The cost of housing and a meal program at the University of North Dakota will jump an average of 400 dollars for the 2024-25 academic year. That’s a 3.8% increase over current costs. The average among the eleven public college campuses in the system was 4.8%.

According to a staff report in most cases the higher rate is needed to cover salary…fringe benefits…and inflationary costs or contract increases by food service vendors.

The NDUS Board approved the bump at a recent meeting. The fall 2023 occupancy rate of residence halls at UND was 85%. That was up 3.8% from the previous year.
