The Columbia Road Overpass is slated to get a $10.2 million dollar makeover in the next two years.
The Grand Forks council approved the plans and specs for the project last night (Monday).
Round one of the work addresses the surface of the road and the finger joints on both ends of the overpass. It would require lane closures this summer.
Next year a full closure is anticipated while pier bearings are being replaced.
Bids are scheduled to be opened in June. Federal funding will cover $6.7 million dollars of the bill.
