NCTC close to naming interim leader

The search for an interim President of Northland Community and Technical College is down to two finalists – including a UND graduate.

The Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has scheduled campus visits next week for Anthony Kinkel and Shari Olson.

Kinkel has served the Mount Dora Christian Academy & Children’s Home (FL) as the vice president of development since 2021.

Shari Olson served the South Mountain Community College (AZ) as president from 2011 until her retirement in 2022. Olson has a doctorate from the University of North Dakota.

NCTC has campuses in East Grand Forks and Thief River Falls.

The board will consider the appointment at its April 17th meeting. The anticipated start date of the interim president is July 1, 2024.
