Moorhead police have identified the three year old child who died following a medical assist call to a south side apartment on Monday.
Authorities say Eastyn Deronjic was transported to Sanford Hospital where he later died. According to police Eastyn and a younger sibling had been staying at the Moorhead address for an extended period. They had been under the primary care of acquaintances of the biological parents.
An autopsy is being run by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner. The death is considered suspicious. The younger sibling has been placed in protective custody.
No charges have been filed.
