If you were involved in a traffic accident in Grand Forks last year you have plenty of company. Grand Forks police say they responded to 1,799 crash calls in 2023. That’s 198 fewer than in 2022 – but 70 more than two years ago.
A total of 839 of the fender-benders were classified as State Reportable Accidents because vehicle damage exceeded $4,000 dollars.
The GFPD says there were 236 injuries and two fatalities last year.
There were over 26-hundred crashes in 2017.
