Moorhead police have identified the victim of last week’s fatal fire as 73 year old Steven Timmer. The Moorhead Fire Department responded to the call on Thursday morning and found Timmer inside the residence. A provisional autopsy report lists the cause of death due to soot and smoke inhalation. Investigators say the fire appears to be accidental -and started in the kitchen area of the home.
