Former UND basketball coach Dave Gunther has died. Gunther passed away Saturday at the age of 86.
Gunther coached at UND for 18 seasons from 1971-88. He ranks second in program history with 332 wins.
Gunther was inducted into the UND Athletics Letterwinners Hall of Fame in 1987.
In a prepared statement UND Athletics Director Bill Chaves says “Coach Gunther’s legacy will forever be remembered at UND.”
Funeral services have not been announced.
