EGF lands new school superintendent

As expected the East Grand Forks School Board formally approved the hiring of Kevin Grover to be the districts next superintendent.
The contract calls for Grover to earn $165,000 dollars in the first year of the three-year deal. That will increase by $3,000 in years two and three. It includes a $5,000 moving allowance.
Grover is currently the Superintendent of the International Falls system and oversees a district that employs 70 licensed and 133 classified staff. He attended last night’s (Monday) East Grand Forks board meeting.

In other action members endorsed a revised 2024 budget which includes a $1.3 million dollar deficit. Interim Superintendent Bryan Hackbarth says they continue to look for savings.
The budget totals some $31.4 million dollars.
