President Biden – touted his accomplishments and outlined his goals for the future in his State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress Thursday night.

Reaction to the speech falls along party lines.
U.S. Senator John Hoeven says President Biden and his administration continue to take the country in the “wrong direction.”

North Dakota Republican Senator Kevin Cramer called it the worst State of the Union address he has ever listened to or sat through. “We listened to an unhinged, angry, bitter old man screaming and pointing his finger at all his naughty children instead of taking responsibility for the messes he caused.”

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar called it a “strong” speech.

Minnesota Democrat Senator Tina Smith said the remarks bring optimism and hope that we can steer America in the right direction.
