By Doug Barrett Mar 5, 2024 | 7:51 AM

The next superintendent of schools in East Grand Forks will be the top teacher from the International Falls (MN) Public School District. School Board members agreed to hand the job over to Kevin Grover starting July 1st.

The decision followed a round of interviews with three candidates on Monday – including interim superintendent Bryan Hackbarth.

A total of five people applied for the position. One dropped out prior to the final round of interviews.

District 595 will enter into negotiations with Grover and a contract is expected to be approved by the School Board at a March 11th meeting.

As Superintendent of the International Falls system Grover oversees a district that employs 70 licensed and 133 classified staff.
