(KNOX) –

The City of Thief River Falls and the Minnesota Department of Transportation invite the public to an open house from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14 to get more information about the corridor study.

Residents, business owners, area visitors, and commuters are encouraged to share their thoughts on how to improve this stretch of Highway 59 for vehicle safety, highway access, drainage issues and poor pavement.

The open house will be held in the multi-purpose room of the Joint-Use Facility, 248 125th Ave NE in Thief River Falls. There are no formal presentations and people are invited to stop by at their convenience anytime between 4 and 6:30 p.m.

City, MnDOT, and project staff will be available to answer questions about the study.

Members of the community who are unable to attend the in-person open house are encouraged to visit talk.dot.state.mn.us/hwy59-trf to learn more about the study, leave a comment on the interactive comment map, and sign up for project update emails.
