North Dakota’s taxable sales and purchases may have slowed during the second half of 2023 but they still managed to post an 11.5% increase for the year.

The state’s S & P’s totaled $26.7 billion dollars with 14 of the 15 major industry sectors posting gains. Tax boss Brian Kroshus says the gains illustrate both the strength and diversity of North Dakota’s economy.

During the final quarter of 2023 the numbers were up 4.6%.

In Grand Forks S & P’s climbed 5.76% for the Q4 and 4.82% for the entire year.
