The cause of a fire that damaged a south Grand Forks apartment building on Monday has been ruled accidental.
The Grand Forks Fire Department says the cause is being blamed on failure of electrical wiring in the attic space. The mishap produced enough heat to ignite nearby combustible materials and the blaze quickly spread. A damage estimate was not available.
All residents of the 92 unit building were displaced.
