The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded this morning to the Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston for an unresponsive male inmate.
Crookston Area Ambulance also responded after nine a.m. and transported the man to Riverview ER…where he was later pronounced dead.
The name of the inmate will not be released until family members have been notified.
The man will be transported to UND Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy.
