Two people escaped injury after their pickup went through the ice on Union Lake Sunday afternoon. The Polk County Sheriff’s Department says the vehicle crashed through about five inches of ice around 4:00 p.m. Both occupants were able to get out of the vehicle and make it to shore. There were no injuries. The PCSO says the vehicle is still in the lake completely submerged.
