A 24-year old Bemidji (MN) man faces charges after crashing his SUV into a Traill County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the squad was parked at an accident scene along I-29 with emergency lights on to assist with traffic control. Authorities say Body Cota failed to take proper precautions as he approached the scene and hit the back of the unoccupied patrol vehicle.
The accident occurred two miles south of Buxton (ND) around 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Cota suffered minor injuries.
The NDHP says the driver is being charged with DUI…unlawful possession of a controlled substance…and paraphernalia.
