A Marshall County Judge today (Monday) sentenced a Warren (MN) man to more than 18 years in jail in connection with the 2022 murder of his wife.
Anders Odegaard entered a guilty plea in December to “second-degree murder without intent while committing a felony” as part of a plea deal. In exchange the state dismissed a separate count of second degree murder.
In August 2022, deputies found 31-year-old Carissa Odegaard unresponsive in her Warren home with severe head trauma after a domestic argument. Authorities said two of the couple’s children saw the attack, but fled and were not harmed.
The judge granted Odegaard credit for 524 days already served.
