Police and fire buildings in Grand Forks are getting an extra layer of security.

The city council has approved features that range from wired door access to cabling and cameras at a cost of some $304,000 dollars. Similar security updates have already been made at the Water Treatment Plant as well as City Hall and the HIVE.

High Point Networks out of West Fargo has been the City’s network and security vendor since winning a competitive telecommunications R-F-P in 2019.
