One of two men hospitalized in what Bismarck police called a stabbing / shooting has died.
Authorities say a 21-year old Keanu Bird passed away at a Minnesota hospital as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest. Police reports say Bird allegedly stabbed a 23 year old male in an apartment on December 15th.
Officers responded to the complex and discovered the victim with multiple abdominal wounds. Witnesses stated he shot Bird after being stabbed – suggesting it was a case of self-defense.
The case remains under investigation. The BPD says an attempted murder warrant that had been issued for Bird is no longer active.
