Mandan man dies in 2-vehicle crash (Update)

Authorities have identified a 54-year-old Mandan man who died in a head-on collision Monday morning near Bismarck.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol… Leo Grosz was killed after his eastbound pickup was struck by a westbound pickup that crossed the center line at a frost-covered intersection.

Grosz was extricated from his vehicle and transported to a Bismarck hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The driver of the other pickup, 57-year-old Keith Manchester of Bismarck, was also transported to a hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers say charges are under investigation.

A 54-year-old Mandan man was killed this (Mon) morning in a two-vehicle crash near Bismarck.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened shortly before 7:30 AM at a frost-covered intersection.

Authorities say a Bismarck man was driving a pickup that crossed the center line, striking another pickup head-on.

The driver of the second pickup was extricated from his vehicle and transported to a Bismarck hospital, where he died from his injuries. The victim’s name has not been released.

The driver of the first pickup, 57-year-old Keith Manchester, was also transported to a hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. Troopers say charges are under investigation.
