An Ohio man wanted for a 2022 homicide was arrested by federal authorities late Wednesday night in suburban Minneapolis.
The U-S Marshals Service and F-B-I arrested 21-year-old Vashaud May in New Hope.
According to the Marshals Service, May was wanted by police in Youngstown, Ohio, for the shooting death of a 24-year-old man in April of last year. Two other people, including a toddler, were injured in the shooting.
Earlier this week, authorities got a tip that May was in the Minneapolis area. Officials say May barricaded himself in an apartment, and refused to comply with officers. But May eventually surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
May will remain in custody in Minnesota until he can be extradited back to Youngstown.
