East Grand Forks will receive additional grant funding to help cover rising costs associated with the LaFave Park improvement project.
The Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trail Commission will chip in another $888,177 dollars toward the $2.2 million dollar plan. The commission previously awarded the city a grant in the amount of $871,000 dollars. East Grand Forks will fund 20% of the total project cost.
The work includes a new boat ramp…improved roads…and parking lots.
Engineers will now ready bid specifications for release sometime after the first of the year.
