
A Grand Forks man accused in a rash of tire-slashing incidents in early October has pleaded not guilty to criminal mischief.
Thirty-one-year-old Matthew Morris allegedly slashed 83 tires on more than 50 vehicles in north Grand Forks. Police estimated the damage at more than $17,000.
Morris waived his preliminary hearing today (Mon). His final dispositional conference is scheduled for Feb. 8th.
Morris is charged with criminal mischief with willful damage in excess of $10,000.
The maximum penalty for the Class B felony is 10 years in jail, a $20,000 fine, or both.
